The FIS Alpine Ski World Cup is one of the top international
ski competitions in the world. The FIS have long sought to
bring Ski World Cup events as close to the cities as possible.
The parallel slalom competitions at the Olympic Mountain in Munich
has seen the best racers fight it out for points on a 200m long
slope, ending at the bottom of the upper Olympic lake. The major
challenge in the light concept was to guarantee a shadow free
bright white TV lighting as well as a colourful dynamic showlight
on the other hand.
Therefore 120 Movingwashlights were placed on ten towers aside the slope to be programmed and live operated by Michael Kuehbandner to create a stunning and diversified show which excited the audience.
